Tarquam McKenna is editor of the International Journal - ANZJAT which addresses the use of arts as therapies. He has most recently been a keynote presenter in Sao Paulo where he worked with theatre for liberation. He also created a series of documents addressing 'paratherapeutic' drama at IDEA HK2007 - the international drama education gathering in Hong Kong July 2007. Tarquam has been invited to lead the two-day gathering of Playback Theatre - the European Gathering at Paisamaki in Finland in June 2008. He has been active in accrediting training in Australia and New Zealand for teachers, counsellors and therapists using arts for well being. His interest in arts and wellness also informs a major research project undertaken in Darwin with Indigenous Health Services at Danila Dilba. He is also active in the work of The Cooperative Research Centre for Aboriginal Health and led their roundtable on Emotional Wellbeing in Cairns.
